Shearith Israel's gift shop was founded by Sisterhood 50 years ago to serve the needs of the congregants and the community. Like our congregation, we are a full-service synagogue. Our shop has about 360 sq. ft. of showcases with all varieties of ritual and holiday items, books, candies, toys and educational materials to help you and your circle of friends and loved ones celebrate Jewish holidays, bar and bat mitzvahs, conversions, births and adoptions, weddings, births and other life-cycle events. In 2001, the gift shop was renamed Alice's Riches in honor of Alice Rich Diskin and her decades of service as the gift shop chairwoman. A lifetime member of Shearith Israel, Alice always displayed both love and professionalism. Today, Alice's Riches is run entirely by Sisterhood volunteers committed to maintaining Alice's special touches.
