Shearith Israel is a community of lifelong learners and is committed to offering ongoing opportunities for study no matter what your level or area of interest. Offerings include everything from Talmud study and holiday workshops, to cooking classes and mashgiach training.

Adult B'nei Mitzvah Class - It's never too late to celebrate becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. This course will cover how to read Hebrew, the meaning and structure of the prayers, how to write a Dvar Torah and how to chant Torah. Class will meet on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning on August 15th.
Tefilah Leadership Institute - Go from being a Jew in the pew to a leader of prayer. Students must be 13 years or older, be able to read Hebrew and feel comfortable following a service. This course will teach you how to lead weekday Mincha, weekday Maariv, Shabbat Musaf and to chant Torah trope. Class will meet on Sundays from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. beginning August 15th.
