Club Shearith is here! Our clubs – called Chugim in Hebrew – are available for children in grades 1 and above and teens. Please note which chugim will be held for which age groups. All chugim will be held on Zoom at the link below and last one hour.

omanut (art) with stella mackler (for students grades 1 - 4)
Mondays (July 6, 13, 20 & 27) @ 11am
Join Stella for a different, simple art project each week! Supplies will be listed for each class. Please note: This chug is offered for students in grades 1 - 4.

Cooking Jewish with Eytan Oren (for students grades 5 & above)
Mondays (June 15, 22 & 29) and Thursdays (June 18, 25 & JUly 2) @ 3pm
Join Mr. Eytan for an online cooking class that will survey various Jewish foods varying from the traditional to holiday fare to Israeli cuisine. No matter your cooking skill, Mr. Eytan will walk you through each recipe while you cook together. He will also give you the background and history of each food and why we eat it. Some recipes will require adult supervision due to frying or other kitchen risks. Please note: This chug is for students in grades 5 and above.

Art with Miriam Karp (for students grades 5 & above)
Tuesdays June 23, June 30, July 1 @ 3pm
Miriam will teach you how to make a journal or sketch pad, and teach you some drawing techniques so you can out into your yard and draw. Please note: This chug is for students in grades 5 and above.
Supplies needed:
- paper
- a hearty stick from outside
- some twine, yarn or string
- writing instrument

Knitting with Zoe Beiner (for students grades 5 & above)
Sunday mornings June 14, 21, 28 @ 10am
Relax and unwind as you learn to knit a very simple scarf
Learn how to cast on, garter stitch, and cast off. Depending on time, you will also learn the purl stitch. Please note: This chug is for students in grades 5 and above.
Supplies needed:
- size US 13 (9mm) straight knitting needles (available online here)
- 100-200 yards of super bulky weight yarn (available online here and here)
If you wish to shop locally, you may find these items at The Craftivist (Inman Park) or Needle Nook (Toco Hills).
