2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

CSI is pleased to present, along with the Breman Museum, Neranenah, The Spring, and The Covenant Foundation, a special program with sisters Danielle Dardashti (Emmy award winning documentarian) and Galeet Dardashti (renowned musician and anthropologist of Middle Eastern Jewish culture), in which they uncover the mystery of why their family left Iran, revealing painful secrets unspoken for generations. This lecture / performance is based on their podcast of the same name.

In their acclaimed audio documentary The Nightingale of Iranthe sisters explore their family history—including the story of their Iranian grandfather, known as “The Nightingale of Iran.” Their journey reveals painful secrets unspoken for generations. The podcast has become a global hit—still at the top of the Apple podcast charts for months, has already won multiple awards including Quill’s “Best Podcast of the Year” and “Best Society and Culture Podcast,” and Danielle and Galeet were selected to participate in the 2024 Tribeca Creators Market.
