American Jews are living through a moment of profound uncertainty, shaped by political polarization in the United States and the ongoing impact of war in Israel on our sense of security, power, and responsibility.
Emily Kaiman will facilitate an eight-session learning series from the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, which turns to Torah as a living framework for navigating questions of authority, democracy, communal voice, and moral obligation. The series is titled The Torah of Being an American Jew. Through close study of classical and modern Jewish texts, participants will explore how Jewish tradition grapples with power and governance—and how Torah can help guide us as engaged Jews and citizens in a pluralistic democracy today. Scroll down to register.
