Dr. Michael Berger, Associate Professor in Emory's Department of Religion, presents a 3-part series of lectures titled "Jewish Giants of the 20th Century: Being Jewish in the Modern World: Kook, Kaplan and Soloveitchik" as part of our Emory@Shearith series. The program will be held on Wednesdays, November 1st, 15th, and 29th. Register below.
Trained in Philosophy of Religion at Princeton (BA with Honors) and Columbia (M.A., M.Phil, and Ph.D.), Professor Berger's research and teaching focus on the development of Jewish law and ethics, issues of medieval and modern Jewish thought, and more recently, the formation of contemporary Jewish identity particularly among the ultra-Orthodox.
