At its core, Congregation Shearith Israel is not a place; it is a community. On a typical Sunday, you might find Sisterhood members kibbitzing over coffee and bagels, minyan members sharing memories during yahrzeits, an audience listening to a concert in the sanctuary, or Rabbi Kaiman leading a rousing discussion in an adult or teen education class. We have activities for all ages, but most of all, we seek to build bonds across generations. At Shearith Israel, we are a family, and we celebrate our joys and support each other through life’s challenges. We have opportunities for learning, spirituality, socializing, community service, and much more.
