Worship
Worship
Our worship honors our heritage and encourages participation. Every week, congregants chant Torah or Haftarah and share duties throughout the service.
Weekly Saturday morning Shabbat services begin at 9am with Kiddush at approximately noon.
We offer youth and family Shabbat services.
We also have both a morning and evening Minyan year round. Times vary by day and season, so please check the full calendar for the most updated information.
Daily Services & Shiva Minyanim
Minyan is held every morning and evening at Shearith Israel and evening shiva minyanim are arranged in homes as required. Learn more
We welcome newcomers and hope to see you soon! For davening information, please contact us at sidavening@gmail.com. You may also join the SI Minyan newsgroup by emailing SIMinyan@googlegroups.com. Members of this listserv may post messages on the forum advising others of an upcoming yahrzeit or simcha, notifying the group if a regular attendee will be missing services, and other minyan-related matters.
COVID-19:
During this unpredictable, challenging time, daily and Shabbat services will continue at the regular times in a virtual manner. We will count participants participating in these livestreamed services as part of a minyan, or prayer quorum, allowing members to recite full prayer services including Mourner's Kaddish.
