Shearith Israel's L'Chaim chapter (55+) will enjoy an outing together to hike in the Palisades Unit of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area.

The hike will begin at 10am, which provides enough time to reach the location following the completion of Morning Services at Shearith Israel. The carpool will leave from the CSI parking lot at 9:30am.

The hike features:

• Round-trip hike; no back-tracking
• A little under 2.5 miles
• River overlook deck at the turn-around
• well-traveled trail without obstacles
• A little over 200' total increase in elevation
• almost completely shaded
• parking is free if you have a National Parks Pass
• If anyone is too tired to return, there is another park exit less than 1/2 mile from the turn-around point
• HOWEVER, I don't think there are any toilets on the path.
• You can bring your leashed dog.
