There are moments in life when we can't help but sing. The moment we left Egypt was one of those moments. The Shabbat we read The Song of the Sea is known as "Shabbat Shira" the Shabbat of Song. This year, we will experiment with song in a new way. Come to shul early, and with the expectation that something exciting will happen, that our souls will be freed and we won't be able to help it but sing. We will sing our 2nd graders to the bimah in celebration as they receive their very own prayer books in our annual Chagigat Siddur ceremony.
