Our middle school youth group will enjoy a fun afternoon with Summit Academy Adventures at Mason Mill Park (1406-1458 McConnell Dr, Decatur, GA 30033). Pick up and drop off is by the playground. Pick-up can begin after 4 pm. Register below.

Program description:

Survivor Day at Summit Academy Adventures is an action-packed outdoor experience designed to challenge participants both mentally and physically while fostering teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. Set in the rugged beauty of Mason Mill Park, this immersive adventure takes participants deep into the forest for a day of survival training and hands-on challenges.

The journey begins with a guided hike into the wilderness, where participants learn essential survival skills such as fire-building, shelter construction, and overcoming obstacles in the natural environment. Throughout the experience, they will face real-world survival challenges, pushing their problem-solving abilities and resilience to new heights.

Teams will also take on creek hiking excursions, learning how to navigate water environments safely while embracing the unpredictable elements of nature. As they progress, groups must work together to solve survival scenarios, strengthening their ability to lead, communicate, and collaborate under pressure.

By the end of Survivor Day, participants will walk away with greater confidence, stronger teamwork skills, and a newfound respect for the wild—all while having an unforgettable adventure in nature.
