For our observance of the 9th of Av, the date of the destruction of the Temples in Jerusalem, we will gather in partnership with AA Synagogue for a dairy, pareve pre-fast meal, services, to recite Eicha, the Book of Lamentations, and chant the melodic liturgical poems of sorrow reserved for this day. It is a somber yet powerful gathering that connects us with the long, pathos-filled history of our people. Register below by Friday, July 21st.
The meal and service will take place at Ahavath Achim Synagogue (600 Peachtree Battle Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30327).
6:45 pm- Optional in-person Mincha at AA
7:00 pm - 7:45 pm: Pre Fast Meal
7:45 pm - 8:00 pm- Teaching from CSI and AA Rabbis
8:00 pm - 8:15 pm- Maariv Service
8:15pm - 9:30pm- Eicha Reading and Tisha b’Av appropriate singing
