Tisha B'Av Pre-Fast Meal & Eicha

7:00 PM - 9:30 PMFor our observance of the 9th of Av, the date of the destruction of the Temples in Jerusalem, we will gather for a dairy, pareve pre-fast meal, learning with Rabbi Kaiman and Ori Salzberg, services, to recite Eicha, the Book of Lamentations, and to chant kinnot, the melodic liturgical poems of sorrow reserved for this day. It is a somber yet powerful gathering that connects us with the long, pathos-filled history of our people, and holds particular resonance this year.
The deadline to register for the pre-fast meal is Friday, August 9th at 3 pm!

6:45 pm - Mincha service
7:00 pm - Pre-Fast Meal (salmon, pasta, and salad) & Learning with Rabbi Kaiman and Ori Salzberg*
8:15 pm - Ma'ariv Service, Eicha Reading and Tisha B’Av appropriate singing
*The learning session will take place during the meal, beginning at approximately 7:15 pm.
