Wednesday Night Supper Club

Past Sessions
Wednesday, April 1, 2020 7 Nisan 5780 - 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Wednesday, March 25, 2020 29 Adar 5780 - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Join us on Wednesdays, March 25 (hosted by Jaime Sherman Wender; 6pm) and April 1 (hosted by Amanda Goldstein Marks; 8:30pm), as our hosts will lead us in conversation from their kitchen as they prepare dinner (Jaime) and enjoy cocktail hour (Amanda). We invite you to set up your phone, tablet, or computer while you do the same, or at your own dinner table while you eat.

March 25 with Jaime Sherman Wender (6pm): After we say Hamotzi together, Jaime will solicit volunteers to tell us what's for dinner, describe how mealtime in your home has changed over the last week, or share something delicious you've recently eaten. This is a family-friendly event, and we encourage kids and adults of all ages to join the fun!

April 1 with Amanda Goldstein Marks (8:30pm): Amanda will lead us in some special cocktail creations and we'll "hang out" for a virtual cocktail hour together while winding down after another homebound day.

Wednesday Night Supper Club - Gather Here

A Few Dinner Rules:

  1. Please MUTE yourselves to eliminate distracting background noises.
  2. Always wash your hands before you eat!
  3. Take a moment to find the "Chat" and "Hands-Up" icons in Zoom (you'll need these tools to contribute to the conversation).
  4. And of course, please don't talk with your mouth full!

If you have a recipe to share, email it to reception@shearithisrael.com and they'll be compiled for us to access later. To get us started, Jaime's provided a ridiculously easy recipe HERE for breakfast or a snack that utilizes just three ingredients you might already have on hand.

B'tei-Avon (the Hebrew equivalent of "bon appetite")!
