the process for choosing an architecture firm
Beginning in November of 2021, the committee developed a list of potential firms with experience in campus master planning, including those with specific expertise working with places of worship (although this was not a requirement), community engagement and adaptive reuse projects. A request for proposals was issued in January to 12 firms, and based on responses three extremely qualified firms were invited to present their proposals and qualifications to the committee in March.
Lord aeck sargent architecture
The committee unanimously, and enthusiastically, recommended engaging with Lord Aeck Sargent (LAS). It became apparent within minutes of our initial meeting with them that they will bring the ideal balance of practical and visionary thinking to our congregation, which will be foundational in helping us plan for our future. Based in Atlanta, LAS brings extensive planning experience working with a variety of religious, cultural and educational institutions through their master planning process. Their team will be comprised of planners, architects and landscape architects, which will enable them to bring vision to our entire campus.
