B'nai Mitzvah Tefillin Challenge 5782
B'nai Mitzvah Tefillin Challenge 5782
In order to encourage the mitzvah of tefillin, Congregation Shearith Israel will provide a pair of tefillin without cost to CSI teenagers becoming b’nai mitzvah who agree to participate in the Tefillin Challenge by:
- attending a program of study to learn the significance and halacha of tefillin organized by CSI, and
- laying tefillin in at least ten (10) daily shacharit minyanim at CSI during the six months following being called to Torah as a bar or bat mitzvah.
Teenagers who previously became b’nai mitzvah at CSI are welcome to participate in the Tefillin Challenge this year.
Adult members of CSI who wish to do so may purchase tefillin from the shul at the shul’s cost.
B’nai Mitzvah and teens interested in participating in the Tefillin Challenge, as well as other members interested in purchasing tefillin as part of our bulk purchase, should complete the form below or contact the shul office before February 11.
